(Youth Visionary)

Jadyn attends Glenpool Middle School, is an active member of the Youth Council, and is a Gen I-Youth Ambassador. Jadyn has been recognized for her hard work and dedication to learning Mvskoke language and culture. She works hard and involves herself and her peers in learning culture by participating and excelling in cultural knowledge competitions. Jadyn is described as determined and ambitious.

Jay is active in the Youth Council where he serves as the 2nd Speaker, and is a Gen I-Youth Ambassador. Jay impacts Native youth and the community because he makes others want to learn about their culture and language. He is described as an Inspiring Activist, Keeper of Culture and Respectful. Jay is always willing to do all he can for his community and the MCN and he has a deep understanding of issues we are facing today.

Maddie is described as thoughtful, caring and motivated. She is involved in many activities and services projects at her school and community. One of her favorite volunteering projects is dog walking for the humane society. Maddie was selected to attend a national service learning conference this last year and is planning many service projects for her school for the coming year. Maddie says she feels more connected when she gives back.

As soon as he turned 12, Charles joined the Youth Council and has been an active member ever since. Charles has a great desire to be a leader as evidenced by his participation and initiation of service projects. Charles has an intense care for others that will help him to see the needs of his community and look inside himself to see what he can do to make a difference.

(Old Who Helps the Young)

Thomasine works for the MCN Behavioral Health Program and is the Program Director/Clinician. Thomasine is a mentor to and advocate for young people. She is very knowledgeable and wants young people to know how to think critically about life decisions. She makes an impact on the community by spreading the word about mental health and making it something that is easily talked about in public. Her mental health advocacy is inspiring.

Holly works for the MCN Children and Family Services Program and recruits foster and adoptive families. Holly is described as giving, loving and patient. She not only helps build families and children, but she serves as a board member for Morris Indian Community and Morris Indian Education Parent committee. She has inspired and helped many youth see their full potential. She has worked to bring resources and opportunities to the community.

Monte is full of Mvskoke knowledge and is always eager to share with anyone who will listen to him. He is the Dean of Academic Affairs at the College of the Muscogee Nation. He is also an advisor to the Lighthorse Explorers and the Youth Council. He impacts the community by being an advocate for healthy relationships and ending domestic violence through Warriors Honor Women. He is described as ambitious, motivated and honorable.

Rachael was nominated because she helps the Mvskoke Nation Youth Council grow and flourish by using her past experiences. Rachael recently began working with the Mvskoke Nation Youth Services program, but she has been there since the beginning doing "whatever Nancy told her to do." She makes an impact on the community by helping keep the culture and traditions alive. Despite all of her obstacles she puts the youth first.
