THE 2018 MVSKOKE YOUTH GAMES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED!

Mvskoke Mvnettvlke Temvrkv (MMT) is one of many national events taking place as part of NB3 Fit Week. NB3 Fit Week is a national week of inspiration, learning, and movement to support the health and fitness of Native American youth.

Competitions in the MMT include: Tug-of-War, Running, Blow Darts, Atlatl Distance Throwing, and Traditional Bow Shooting.

General Rules & Info

2018 MMT Date: CANCELLED

Registration will begin at 9:30 am with Opening Ceremony at 10:00 am.

All competitions will take place at the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Complex located at HWY 75 & Loop 56
-
Max of 8 Middle School (6th-8th grade) and 8 High School (9th-12th) teams.

Max of 12 Competitors per team

Max of 2 competitors per team per event.

Each team will select one male and one female to compete in running event.

Awards for the male or female in each event with the highest score, shortest time, or furthest distance.
Competitions
For events requiring equipment, it will be provided or you may bring your own.
Tug of War
The competition will be single elimination. Teams will use the 3-3 rule, 3 males & 3 females must participate in each match. Single elimination.
Running
The running competition will be one mile and will be mapped out for competitors. All of the teams will run together with the top male and female medals for each category.
Blow Darts
Each competitor will have 3 attempts to hit the target from a distance of 15 feet. The target will have 5 rings each with points as follows: White - 1, Black - 2, Blue - 3, Red - 4, Yellow (Bullseye) - 7. Highest scores will win.
Atlatl Distance Throwing
Each Competitor will have 2 attempts to throw the atlatl for distance. The longest distance will be used in calculating a winner.
Traditional Bow Shooting
Each Competitor will have 4 attempts to use a traditional bow to hit the target from a distance of 25 yards. The target will have 5 rings each with points as follows: White - 1, Black - 2, Blue - 3, Red - 4, Yellow (Bullseye) - 7. Highest scores will win.
Social Stickball
In the spirit of fun and culture, Competitors will have an opportunity to play a social stickball game. This is not a part of the competition. Bring your sticks and lawn chairs!
